DPDC sanctions 80 cr for tourism infrastructure development
Kolhapur, Oct 10 (UNI) District Planning and Development Council (DPDC) has approved budgetory provision of about Rs 80 crore to be spent to create necessary infrastructure for promotion of tourism in various parts of Kolhapur district.
State district Guardian Minister Harshwardhan Patil, who was here to inaugurate the two-day dussehra ''Mahotsav'' at the Keshavrao Natyagrah, said that efforts were on a priority basis to bring Kolhapur on the tourist map.
Kolhapur is famous for historical places, industry and IT sector, he added.
