Dhule, Oct 10: The indefinite curfew, imposed in this riot-hit city of the North Maharashtra last Sunday after the outbreak of communal violence, was relaxed for three hours from 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs on Thursday, Oct 10.
During the curfew relaxation this morning, people ventured out of their homes in large number for their essential works.
NCP state unit president Arun Gujarathi and Tribal Development Minister Vijaykumar Gavit visited the riot-hit areas of the city durig which they were gheraoed by some tribal women, source said.
The curfew was relaxed for two hours yesterday from 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs on the occasion of Dussehra Festival.
According to police, no fresh incidents of violence were reported during the relaxations and the situation was limping back to normal.
