Lucknow, Oct 10 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on the Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government, the Communist Party of India (Marxist&Leninist) said the BSP government has violated BPL standards fixed by the Central government and excluded many entitled persons from the list.
Demanding stringent action against the guilty officials, CPI(ML) state secretary Sudhakar Yadav here today said the BSP government had denied the poor their rights and was now busy in covering up the matter.
He also alleged that irregularities were committed while providing employment under NREGA. Labourers, who were promised of 100 days work, were given work for only 15 days, besides unemployment allowance was also not given to them.
Such attitude of BSP government shows that it is indifferent to woes of the poor, Mr Yadav said.
CPI(ML) will stage a demonstration at Akbarpur of Ambedkar Nagar to bring the poor under BPL list and provide them facilities accordingly, Besides, grand 'Mazdoor-Kisan' rally would be organised on November 7, he said.
