Car ploughs into crowd, one killed

Raisen, MP, Oct 10 (UNI) A woman was killed and 42 were injured when a car ploughed into a crowd during a tableaux on the occasion of Dussehra in this district last night, police said today.

The injured included 19 women and five policemen. Komalbai (50) was seriously injured and admitted to Hamida hospital in the state capital where she died.

An Angry crowd thrashed car driver Jeetu and attempted to set the vehicle on fire. Police resorted to caning to control the situation.

Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Gauri Shankar Shejwar, Raisen Collector Sandeep Yadav and Superintendent of Police K P Jain met the injured late night.
