Women have 26 makeovers in a lifetime
London, Oct 9: A new study conducted by Boots has revealed that an average woman has 26 makeovers in her lifetime. The change in looks starts right from the age of 14 and continues on, with a break-up dress, a meet-the-parents outfit, a new interview haircut included in the long list of makeovers.
The biggest reason for the change in looks has been to boost confidence, according to 81 per cent of those surveyed. Mel Kelleher, 51, a mother to Katie, 22, Emily 19, and 16-year-old Lucie from Nottingham is just such an example. Kelleher, who is a marketing manager and married to electrician Terry, 49, has transformed her appearance over the years, from teen hippy to disco chick.
"My fave photo is the one taken with my best pal Maggie in the Canary Islands. It''s a great snapshot of our friendship," the Sun quoted her as saying. Going through the many pictures showing Mel in different styles, her husband Terry comments on the one he likes the most.
"My favourite is the one of Mel on her 23rd birthday with the pink hat on. She looks so beautiful," he added.
