Bangalore, Oct 9 (UNI) Indian speedster Ishant Sharma today said the Indian's were determined to restrict the Aussies under 300 tomorrow so that the pressure could be mounted on them over the next three days.
Addressing a press conference after the first day's play of the first Test match played at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here, he said it was a slow wicket and ball was not moving in the direction as he and Zaheer wished.
He insisted that honoures were even on the opening day and the Aussies cannot feel to have dominated over the Indians.
Replying to a question, he said, ''I am satisfied with my bowling today though I could get only one wicket. Tomorrow if we could get two quick wickets and restrict the visitors to 300 it will be good for us.'' When asked to comment about Ponting praising his bowling, Ishant said ''The Aussie skipper is my favourite batsman and I am thankful for his good words.'' Replying to another question about Australians putting up reasonable score at the end of the day one, he said Indians had done their best.
''We did our best to restrict them and we have succeeded to a certain extent. The fourth wicket that had fallen at the end of the day was really good for us and it may make a difference tomorrow,'' he added.
