Ambala, Oct 9 (UNI) The demon king, Ravana stood tall in Barara town of this district of Haryana.
The effigy of the demon king which was burnt in the evening was 171 feet in height and it cost Rs six lakh. The effigy was assembled by artists from Agra and it took five months to get it ready for Dussehra.
All expenses of preparing the effigy were borne by Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Suraksha Samiti vice president Tejinder Chauhan.
The effigy which attracted large crowds was set ablaze by a remote control device alongwith the effigies of Kumbhkaran and Meghnad.
