Rains to occur in North Eastern states
Pune, Oct 9 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan and Goa.
They are also likely to occur at Telangana, Rayalseema, coastal and south interior Karantaka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and west Rajasthan.
The south-west monsoon has been subdued in Arunchal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, central Maharashtra and coastal and north interior Karnataka.
In the region from where the south-west monsoon has withdrawn, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and north Rajasthan, and were above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and south Rajasthan. They were above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and south Rajasthan. They were above normal in Kashmir, while normal over the rest of the regions.
The night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Rajasthan, and were below normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and remaining parts of Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
