Puducherry,Oct 9(UNI)Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy today reiterated his demand for banning Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) and action against its leader, Mr Vaiko, for 'openly supporting the banned Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).' Addressing the press here, Mr Narayansamy said the Congress,DMK and PMK had a common stand on the Eelam Tamils issue and there should be co-ordinated effort among all political parties to end the killing of innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka.

The Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Governments should initiate action against any outfit acting in support of the LTTE, he added.

On the Indo-US Civilian Nuclear Deal, Mr Narayanasamy said it was an historic deal which would ensure the development of the country.

On the Opposition from the BJP and the Left Parties to the deal even after the issue was discussed in Parliament five times, he said it was due to political reasons.

There was apprehension that the parties wanted the development of China and not India, he claimed.
