Jammu, Oct 9 (UNI) A militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) surrendered before security forces while an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin (HM) outfit was arrested by the police in twin districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.
''A LeT militant identified as Irshad Ahmed, 17, resident of Gatetar surrendered before the troops of 10 Rashtriya Rifles in Doda district yesterday,'' sources told UNI, adding that the militant was handed over to the police.
However, in another incident, a joint operation was launched by the troops of 60 RR and Uniform Force on specific information.
''An OGW of HM outfit identified as Abdul Khaliq, resident of Gundi was arrested from Budhal area of Rajouri district,'' police said.
Meanwhile security forces based on specific information recovered a dump of cache in Mandi area of Poonch district.
''A team of Special Operation Group (SOG), 27 RR and Romeo Force recovered a cache comprised two AK 74, two Ak magazines and 150 rounds of ammunition,'' the sources added.
