Jammu, Oct 9 (UNI) Two employees of Jammu and Kashmir government were apprehended by police for smuggling intoxicants intra-state and inter-state in Rajouri district, police sources here said today.

''We had an information about the movement of the accused along with an intoxicant (corex) filled in water bottles of two-litre each, which they were importing from Jammu to Rajouri,'' Mohd Rafiq Manhas, Station House Officer Rajouri told UNI.

Mr Manhas said a special 'naaka' was laid down and accused's vehicle was intercepted last evening.

During frisking, two bottles filled with intoxicants were seized from their possession and they were arrested on the spot, Mr Manahs added.

The accused have been identified as Daulat Shah, an employee in Agriculture Department and Salim Ahmed Dar, an employee in Sheep Husbandry Department, both residents of Rajouri district.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against them and the investigations are in progress, police said.
