Don't blame minority community for terrorism: Pawar
Mumbai, Oct 9: Sharad Pawar the Union Agriculture Minister on Thursday, Oct 8 has said it is absolutely wrong to blame a particular community for terrorism and the growing insecure atmosphere in the country. Pawar, who is also the National Congress President (NCP) observed that terrorism in the country had grown after the fundamental forces demolished the Babri Masjid.
He was addressing a gathering at a function organised by Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane to launch his Marathi newspaper 'Prahar' in Mumbai, Oct 8. Pawar said there are two opinions about taking firm actions against the individuals involved in terrorist activities, but the situation cannot be handled by blaming minorities for the trouble.
Mr Pawar exhorted the media to play a more positive role by not blaming a particular community for spreading communal hatred. This is the second publication by Mr Rane, who had earlier launched the English tabloid 'Yuva'.
