Congress, SP are enemies of country: Thackeray
Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today termed Congress and Samajwadi Party ''enemies of country'', as they were sympathising with terrorists, and appealed to people to bring them (Shiv Sena and like-minded parties) to power in Maharashtra as well as in Delhi.
Mr Thackeray, in his Dussehra message, published in the front page of Party mouthpiece ''Saamna'', has appealed ''Hindus'' to rise against ''Islamic terrorism''.
Ridiculing Congress president Sonia Gandhi's call against terrorism and communalism in Nanded recently, Mr Thackeray said on the one hand Congress was trying to appease Muslims by delaying the execution of Afzal Guru, a convict in the Parliament attack case and implementing the Sachar committee report and on the other hand it was creating a fuss over communalism.
Mr Thackeray has alleged that nobody was bothered about the country's interests and all were worried about power and asserted that ''Hindus'' were no more obliged to being ''tolerant people''.
