Tirumala, Oct 9 (UNI) State Endowments Commissioner Sunder Kumar today faced a bitter experience when he was banned from entering the Tirumala temple during the morning rituals observed on the occasion of 'Chakrasnanam'.
While entering the Tirumala temple through Temple 'Maha Dwaram' along with State Endowments Minister J Rathanakar Rao, Mr Kumar was stopped by the Circle Inspector.
However, after intervention by District Superintendent of Police Lakshmireddy, the commissioner, who is also an ex-officio member of the TTD trustee, was allowed inside the temple through main entrance.
According to sources, commissioner Sunder Kumar, was eligible for the 'Maha Dwara Pravesam'.
As per TTD rules, ''Maha Dwara Pravesam'' is allowed only for the President of India, the Prime Minister, Governors, Chief Ministers, Judges of Supreme court and High Court, Ministers and Board members including ex-officio member of the trustees and also Mutt heads.
