Mizoram: Angry ex-minister hits traffic police with car
Aizawl, Oct 9: Angered by a traffic police's instruction to remove his car parked in a wrong place, former Congress minister John Rotluangliana hit a traffic police personnel with his car yesterday, police sources said.
According to sources, Rotluangliana parked his car in maxi cab parking at the New Market area here, and did not heed to the traffic police's repeated requests to remove his car.
Later, the Traffic police sent a towing-truck, at the sight of which Rotluangliana told his driver to remove the car. Then, the traffic police did not this and stood in front of the car.
Angered by this, the former minister hit the traffic policeman.
The injured policeman was admitted to hospital after complaints of pain in his waist.
Traffic Police filed an FIR to book the minister under section 353 IPC R/W 179 MV Act.
