Muzaffarpur, Oct 8 (UNI) In a bizarre incident, the railway police today found three bodies at Muzaffarpur station sent by Pawan express from Mumbai in a parcel bag.

Following foul smell emanating from the parcel room, the suspicious parcels were traced and opened in presence of Government Rail Police (GRP).

East Central Railway CPRO A K Chandra said here today that the parcel had been booked as general goods from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal, Mumbai.

The parcel had been booked for address in Muzaffarpur and its destination was shop number 2, Gupta Market, near railway station, Muzaffarpur.

Bodies of a man, a woman and a child were found packed separately in the parcels, he informed.

He said all required action had been taken and Lokmanya Tilak terminal had been contacted for the details.

Mr Chandra further said that the matter was under the jurisdiction of Lokmanya Tilak Terminal and all legal action would be taken in Mumbai.

Before packing in separate cartoons, the bodies were packed in sacks, he added.

'' It was a case of mis-declaration as the sender had declared it general goods '', he said adding the bodies were sent in coffin.

Meanwhile, Rail SP Amit Lodha said the address on which the parcel containing the bodies were sent, was found to be fake.

A case in this connection had been registered and matter was being investigated.

The bodies had been sent for postmortem, however their identities had not been established as yet, official sources said.
