Bangalore, Oct 8(UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.
Southwest monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Bellatti recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm.
Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Savanur 5; Raichur, Lakkavalli, Chitradurga, B.Durga 4 each; N.R.Pura 3 each; Ron, Badami, Bijapur, Chittapur, Sedam, Kakkeri, Jalihal, Arkalgud, Bandipura, Bellary, Kampli 2 each; Kota, Maski, Madikeri, Kushalnagar, Madapura, Agumbe, Chikmagalur, Shivani, Parasurampura 1 each.
Temperatures: Maximum temperature appreciably fell at few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and normal over Interior Karnataka. Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 34.4 degree celsius over the State.
Minimum temperatures changed little and were normal over the State. Chamarajanagar recorded lowest mininmum temperature of 17.2 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely.
