First call centre in Mizoram
Aizawl, Oct 8 (UNI) As part of the Mizoram government's initiative in IT development, the state's first call centre has been set up here.
Inaugurating the call centre at the second floor of the newly completed Chhunga Bus Terminal building today,Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel said that the call centre was a dream came true for hundreds of educated jobless Mizo youths.
Even though we can't start it big, the call centre will hopefully grow in size to cater larger number of jobs to the industrious Mizo youths, he said.
The call centre-cum-ITES training centre has been set up jointly by the state government's corporation ZIDCO (Zoram Industrial Development Corporation) and Public Soft Corporation India (PSCI).
With the neutral accent of English-speaking Mizo youths, Mizoram is believed to have a high potential for call centres. '' Mizoram has peaceful environment and moderate climate.These are the main reasons why we selected Mizoram to set up a call centre, PSCI chairman Jame Y Kou said at the inaugural function.
