Chandigarh, Oct 7 (UNI) The Punjab government is keen on pursuing all the environment projects suggested by environmentalist Baba Seechewal, who was chosen by the 'Time' magazine as one of the 30 'Heroes of Environment' for cleaning up Punjab's Kali Bein.
Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr Harcharan Bains, who had a meeting with Baba Balbir Singh Ji Seechewal today, told the ecology icon that the state government strongly advocated a 'creative synergy' between the state and the various environmentalist and spiritual movements to save precious resources like clean water and air.
He said the state government had already sought Baba Ji's advice and help in cleansing Budha Nullah in Ludhiana.
He said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had assured full support to individuals, organisations and movements devoted to saving the earth from environmental calamities.
