No hike in Sale Tax on bricks: Hooda
Chandigarh, Oct 7 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced that the rate of Sales Tax on bricks would not be raised till next financial year.
The Chief Minister stated this while interacting with a delegation of the Haryana Pradesh Brick Kiln Owners Association here today.
It was also decided to give extension to all the 238 brick kilns in urbanisable zone up to June 30, 2009. Also, after the enforcement of section 4 in a controlled area, the brick kilns could function upto six months only.
Those present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M L Tayal, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Food and Supplies) L S M Salins and Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary Town and Country Planning D S Dhesi.
