MoCAs till to decide on Air University at Begumpet
Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) The Union Civil Aviation Ministry is mulling on locating an Air University at Begumpet Airport here, according to Mr Arun Mishra, Joint Secretary overlooking aviation in the Ministry.
After the Begumpet Airport was shut down with the opening of a new international airport at Shamsabad under public and private partnership, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had moved the Centre to utilise the facility at Begumpet Airport to set up Air University, which if cleared would be the first Aviation University in India.
''We have not taken a decision on the proposal of the Andhra Pradesh government (on establishing Air University),'' Mishra told mediapersons here today.
