Maoist leaders aim to establish People's Republic in Nepal
Kathmandu, Oct 7 : The Maoists leaders have put pressure on the party leadership not to deviate from party's aim to establish 'People's Republic' in Nepal.
Speaking during the central committee meeting here on Monday, the leaders stressed the need to carve strategies to establish a People's Republic in Nepal at any cost.
Hari Bhakta Kadel, a central committee member, said the cabinet committee members suggested a rethink over the current liberal line taken by the party and go for policies that could help establish communist rule at the earliest.
The central committee members have completed their turn to speak on the political report presented by Prime Minister Prachanda.
Prachanda is scheduled to answer questions raised by the speakers today.
Meanwhile senior UML leader Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli has termed the 'talks' of establishing People's Republic by Maoist leaders as a 'farce.'
