Heavy rains likely in North-east

Pune, Oct 7 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south interior Karnataka, few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseemma, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Marathwada, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in west Uttar Pradesh and west Rajasthan.

The Southwest Monsoon was active in south interior Karnataka and subded in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, interior Karnataka, few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Rayalseema, Kerala and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

The day temperatures were appeciably to markedly above normal in Rajasthan and above normal in some parts of Haryana. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and normal in rest of the regions.

The night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Uttarakhand. They were apprecialy to markedly above normal in Rajasthan and some parts of Haryana, and above normal in Himachal Pradesh and some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. They were normal in rest of the regions.
