GoAir gets new PR
New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) In an era of heavy losses, GoAir has decided to promote itself differently to buck the current trend.
The low cost carrier today announced the appointment of Avian Media as its communications agency to promote its services across India.
''We had been looking for a PR agency that could help us promote GoAir with strategic communications support and deliver truly integrated campaigns across India,'' airline's CEO Edgardo Badialli said in a statement.
''We have found the agency in Avian Media which will provide strategic public relations counsel together with market analysis,'' he said.
Positioned as 'the Smart People's Airline', GoAir launched its operations in November 2005 with the objective of commoditising air travel, offering airline seats at marginal premium to train fares across India.
But with high jet fuel prices hitting airlines across the board, several low cost carrers such as GoAir face the prospects of closing down.
