'Change of guard' in Punjab after Lok Sabha polls:Amarinder

Chandigarh, Oct 7 (UNI) Former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh today vowed to wipe out that Akalis from Punjab and predicted that the change of guard in Punjab will come after the next Lok Sabha polls.

"The SAD-BJP government will have no moral right to remain in Punjab after its defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in the state", he said while expressing confidence that the Congress would win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Addressing a media conference at the Press Club here, Capt Singh, who is also the Chairman of the Punjab Congress Campaign Committee claimed that the people of the state had already turned against the SAD-BJP government and the Badal's in prticular.

Replying to a querry, he said that the cases being filed against him was a strategy of the SAD-BJP to " tie him down" so that he does not take active part in the election campaign. "I have been entrusted with a responsibility by the party and i will carry it out to defeat the Badal's", he added with confidence.
