BSNL to launch IPTV in Himachal
Shimla, Oct 7 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) wILL launch Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) in Himachal Pradesh within a month.
Announcing this here today on the occasion of 8th BSNL Day, Chief General Manger of Himachal Pradesh Circle Anil Kaushal said the company will also expand its broadband services in 400 more locations in the state.
He said Himachal Pradesh has less than one per cent internet density and BSNL has tied up with five computer manufactures--HCL, Acer, LG electronics, eSYS technology and Sai Infosystems to provide PC and Laptop to new internet subscribers, who will get special discount on rentals for three years on broadband connection.
He said BSNL is the number one telecommunication service provider in the state having about 1.1 million telephone connections, 56,000 broadband internet connections in 254 township in HP telecom circle.
