Shimla, Oct 6 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh received fresh spell of snow at Dhauladhar ranges while thundershowers and storm lashed many places of the hill state today.
Report received from Dharamshala said Dhauladhar ranges had snowfall this morning and lower part of Kangra district was lashed with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder storm which caused a dip in the temperature in the Valley today.
In Shimla, students and employees heading toward offices faced the rough weather conditions followed by heavy downpour which distrupted the traffic and public movement for few hours.
The moderate rainfall was recorded in Shimla and its sourrounding areas, which brough down the temperature.
There were reports of heavy rainfall in Mandi, Sundernagar and Kullu. Bhunter received 32 mm rainfall, Sundernagar 23 mm, Mandi 8 mm, Shimla 4 mm and Solan 3 mm.
Kalpa was the coldest in the state, with mercury dipping to 6.5 degrees Celsius while maximum temperature was 17.5 degrees Celsius.
Minimum and Maximum temperature of Shimla was 14.4 and 21.4, Sundernagar 18.8 and 27.9, Bhunter 16.3 and 24.5, Dharamshala 12.7 and 27.4, Una 19.7 and 31 and Mandi 19.5 and 27.2 degrees Celsius.
Met office forecast rain or thundershowers in isolated places in Himachal Pradesh for next 24 hours.
