Sydney, Oct 6 : Former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has ranked Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar as No. 1 in his list of best players included in his new book "Shane Warne's Century", to be launched in London tomorrow.
The top Australian in his list is his first captain Allan Border, whom he ranked fourth, behind West Indians Curtly Ambrose (third) and Brian Lara (second) and Sachin (No. 1)
He ranked Steve Waugh at No.26, Victorian Hughes 18th, and Mark Waugh at ninth position.
Warne's long-time bowling partner Glenn McGrath is ranked fifth in the book.
The five Australians in Warne's top 10 players also include wicketkeeper Ian Healy (10th) and current skipper Ricky Ponting (eighth), reported the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH).
About India's Sourav Ganguly, whom he placed at 96th rank, he said: "But, he did have the knack of rubbing up opponents (and even teammates when he went to Lancashire) the wrong way without seeming to try very hard."
