Panaji, Oct 6 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Goa unit today demanded that the party High Command should sack Tourism Minister Francisco (Micky) Pacheco from the ministry led by Chief Minister Digamber Kamat.

The NCP state unit president Dr Wilfred D Souza, speaking to mediapersons after the executive committee meeting here, said Mr Pacheco's disqualification plea against his own colleague PWD Minister Churchill Alemao and Curtorim MLA Mr Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco on October 3 was detrimental to the image of NCP in the state of Goa. It does not show spirit of a coalition partner, Dr D Souza said.

He said ''We are shocked that Chief Minister Digamber Kamat is a silent spectator on the issue.'' The Party also demanded that the high command visit Goa and take corrective measures, Mr D Souza added.
