Gadkari demands white paper on PM, Vidarbha, CM package
Mumbai, Oct 06 (UNI) Alleging large-scale corruption in the distribution of the three packages announced for the families of farmers who had committed suicide in six districts of Vidarbha, Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today demanded that Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh publish a white paper on these packages.
Talking to reporters, Mr Gadkari said the cows which were meant to be given to farmers, were distributed among the Congress and NCP leaders of these districts, including Yavatmal and Washim.
He said he has also written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue, demanding a CBI inuqiry into the same.
Speaking about the Konkan package, he alleged that the Governor's orders were not followed while distributing the money to regions.
Asked about the demand of a ban on RSS and Bajrang Dal, he said these organisations were not terrorist outfits but patriots.
He also alleged that the UPA government was pampering terrorists.
