Four die due to heavy rains in Nashik
Nashik, Oct 6: Four people were killed in two different rain- related incidents in the district, on Sunday, Oct 5.
According to sources, three persons were swept away by the strong current of water in a nullah in Kandyacha Mala area at Waghbe village in Baglan taluka of the district late last night.
The deceased, identified as Vitthal Mohale (45), his wife Manubai Mahale (40) and Sunderbai Gawli (40), were crossing the nullah when the incident took place. Search for their bodies was on till late last night, but proved fruitless.
In another incident at Ghoti village in Igatpuri taluka of the district, one person, Lalbaba Matichand Sabane (30), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was killed due to lightning. The labourer from Uttar Pradesh had come for construction work of a bridge in Ghoti.
