Chandrayaan launch on Oct 22: Madhavan Nair
Chennai, Oct 6 (UNI) The much-awaited launch of India's maiden unmanned lunar mission, Chandrayaan-I, will take place on October 22.
''We have tentatively fixed the launch on October 22 at 0620 hrs. Weather permitting, it will be launched as scheduled,'' Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman G Madhavan Nair told UNI today.
He said all the tests scheduled to be carried out as on date had been carried out and the satellite had already been taken to Sriharikota.
The Chandrayaan-I would be launched by the ISRO's reliable workhorse launch Vehicle PSLV-XL from the state-of-the-art Second Launch Pad from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
