BJP has no objection over Uddhav's candidature
Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) Against the backdrop of reports in a section of the media that Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray will be the Chief Ministrial candidate of the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance in next year's Maharashtra Assembly elections, state BJP president Nitin Gadkari today said the party has no objection on the issue.
''There has been no discussion on the issue so far,'' Mr Gadkari told mediapersons here.
It may be recalled that in 1995, when the alliance government came to power, the Chief Ministership had gone in favour of Shiv Sena.
Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray had remained away from power, However, Uddhav's name was always mentioned as a candidate for the coveted post of the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, former BJP MLA Digamber Vishe, who was in Congress, today rejoined the BJP in presence of Mr Gadkari.
