Puducherry, Oct 6 (UNI) AIADMK Puducherry unit Secretary A Anbazhagan, MLA, today alleged that the Congress government, headed by V Vaithilingam, in the Union Territory was attemting to suppress the AIADMK by foisting cases against party functionaries.

Talking to newspersons here, he said by accepting the appeal of Union Minister V Narayansami to treat the Opposition parties as 'enemy' parties, the Congress government was foisting cases against two AIADMK Councillors and some others in connection with an attack on two ships at the port here.

He also alleged that Mr John Stephen, a contractor, was threatened by the police who forcibly got his signature in an already prepared complaint against the AIADMK cadres.

The party would organise massive agitations against the government, after getting permission from Party supremo Jayalalithaa, he added.

Mr Stephen, who was also present on the occasion, alleged that Mudaliarpet police asked him to come to the police station and forcefully got his signature on a complaint, in which the names of the Councillors, Bhaskaran and Krishnamurthy, were there.

Meanwhile, Mr Stephen met the DGP and informed him that the police had forcefully got his signature in the complaint prepared by them.
