Rajkot, Oct 6 (UNI) At least eight people, including three women, were killed and 10 others injured when a truck in which they were travelling collided with another truck, near Limbdi, about 120 km from here, on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad Highway early today.
According to police sources, most of the occupants of the truck were labourers and were proceeding to Upleta town of the district from Kavali village of Jambusar in south Gujarat.
The injured have been admitted to Limbdi and Surendranagar hospitals, the sources said, adding that the condition of a woman was stated to be very serious.
Six people were killed on the spot and two died on way to Limbdi hospital, the sources said.
The deceased were identified as Sandip Maganbhai, Bhavesh Maganbhai, Mukesh Chandubhai, Suresh Maganbhai, Dabhiya Maganbhai, Kanchanben Dayabhai, Savitaben Babubhai and Dahiben Babubhai, the sources said.
