15 suspected IM terrorists arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch
Mumbai, Oct 6 : Mumbai police have arrested 15 suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists in connection with the recent bomb blasts in Delhi, Ahemadabad, Surat and Bangalore.
The police also recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions and objectionable literature from these suspects.
Joint commissioner of police Rakesh Maria told reporters on Monday that four suspects were arrested from Pune.
In all Mumbai crime branch has arrested 22 suspects so far, he said.
The police have also seized five laptops and CPUs from the suspects. Most of those arrested are highly educated and working in big corporate.
However, the kingpin of the Mujahideen Riaz Bhatkal and his brother Iqbal are still at large, he said.
Suspects had sent Indian Mujahideen emails before the blasts. Maria said that the Media wing of Indian Mujahideen were responsible for these emails.
