Yuvraj cracks century as Board President's XI grab 384-run lead

By Staff

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Board President's XI batsmen made a huge impact on the Australians as they amassed a 384-run lead at lunch on the last day of their four-day match beginer at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here today.

Resuming at the overnight score of 110/2, Board President's XI added 130 runs, losing just one wicket in the first session of the final day.

Overnight batsman Yuvraj Singh completed his century with his seventh six of the innings, a pull over deep midwicket, his mother seen applauding from the stands.

Stuart Clark brought down the curtains over Yuvraj's fine knock, as the visibly tired batsman attempted an ugly sweep but only managed to edge to the keeper who made no mistake.

Yuvraj made 113 off 143 balls in 208 minutes with seven sixes and seven boundaries. He added 200 runs for the third wicket in the company of Wasim Jaffer.

Jaffer, another overnight batsman, too immediately fell to the same bowler as he was caught plumb in front for 93 runs which came in 159 balls with 12 hits to the fence.
