Two couples killed, 8 injured in road mishap in Punjab
Bathinda, Oct 5 (UNI) Two couples were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a car and a jeep near Maisarahan village on the Bathinda-Mansa road this morning, police sources here today said.
The deceased included Budh Ram (60) and his wife Krishna Devi, who were travelling in the jeep along with other relatives.
Among the dead were Amrik Singh (42) and his wife Amarjeet Kaur, who were travelling in the car along with their son, Gagandeep, one of the injured. The remaining seven injured were travelling in the jeep.
While the car was on its way to Ratia, the jeep was bound for Budhladha. While four of the injured have been referred to the CMC, Ludhiana, the rest have been admitted to the civil hospital here.
