Special Envelope and Cancellation on Andaman's Wildlife
Port Blair, Oct 05 (UNI) People all over the world will now be able to see endemic and endangered fauna of remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Special Envelopes and Cancellations of the Postal Department.
As part of the 54th Wildlife Week Celebration, 2008, the India Post, popularly known as Postal Department, has released a ''Special Envelope with Cancellation''.
''The Special Envelope and Cancellation would attract international attention towards endemic and endangered fauna of these islands,'' Director Postal Service Madhurnita Das told mediapersons today.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, S S Choudhury released the Special Envelope with Cancellation recently in Port Blair.
The Special Envelope and Cancellation depicts the Endemic and Endangered Fauna of these Islands such as Norcandum Hornbill and Dugong.
The India Post has already released many stamps, envelopes and cancellations on Andaman and Nicobar Islands and its biodiversity earlier.
