New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Sachin Tendulkar may not be as destructive as he used to be in his prime, but Team India opener Virender Sehwag still looks up to him as his idol.
Insisting that Tendulkar is the ''God of cricket'', Sehwag said he wants to emulate the dedication and focus Tendulkar displays even after 20 years of international cricket career.
''I want his consistency, his technique, his focus - I want all that from him. He always tells me enjoy my batting and to keep taking on new challenges,'' Sehwag said.
''I once asked him 'You have made so many runs and played for so many years, dont you get bored?' He said 'No I am enjoying my cricket. The day I feel I am not enjoying playing, I will quit','' he added.
Talking about Tendulkar's love for cricket Sehwag said,''I think he is born for cricket. Nobody talks about cricket while waiting at airports or during a flight, but he always talks about the game. He insists that one must enjoy the journey and not think of the result.'' UNI AB RAR AS1618
