Govt indifferent towards milk scarcity in flood ravaged Bihar: LJP
Patna, Oct 5 (UNI) LJP MP Ranjita Ranjan today alleged the Bihar government was indifferent towards handling an unprecedented milk crisis in flood ravaged north Bihar.
Ms Ranjan expressed concern over escalation of price of milk in north Bihar and said the government must ensure supply of milk in flood affected areas.
Delving into the details of the milk scarcity and its subsequent price rise, the LJP MP said the milk was on sale at Rs 22 per litre while earlier it was available in the market at Rs 16 per litre.
Ms Ranjan alleged that despite all assistance from the Centre to meet the flood challenge, relief operation among flood victims was poor as funds meant for the purpose were being siphoned off by the officials enjoying patronage of ruling party leaders.
