Hurriyat leader Geelani shifted to hospital in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 5: Chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani was shifted to a hospital here on Saturday, Oct 4 after he complained of pain in the chest, official sources said.
Mr Geelani, a heart patient, has been put under house arrest for the past three days to prevent him from attending the 'Lal Chowk chalo march' on Monday, Oct 6. The call was given by the Coordination Committee (CC), spearheading the present agitation in Kashmir. The sources said Mr Geelani complained of chest pain and was immediately shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura.
