Youth held for weapon theft during Malegaon blast
Nashik, Oct 4 (UNI) An 18-year-old youth was today arrested for allegedly stealing a pistol during the bomb blast at Malegaon on September 29.
Abdul Rahim Salem Chaus, a resident of Ayesha Nagar, was arrested early today and a pistol and 10 live cartidges were seized from him, Inspector General Suryapratap Gupta and Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Patil told mediapersons here.
They said during the attack on police personnel after the bomb blast in Malegaon, the pistol and cartidges belonging to Deepak Borse, bodyguard of Mr Patil, were stolen.
Chaus was later produced before a local court, which remanded him in four-day police custody till October eight, they added.
