Yeddyurappa annouces Rs 25 Cr for setting up 'Knowledge Centre'
Hubli, Oct 4 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today announced allocation of Rs 25 crore for opening of a 'Knowledge Centre' in Dharwad Agriculture University.
Speaking after inaugurating Krishi Mela here, he said that the fund would be allocated in the next budget for establishing the centre for the benefit of the farmers.
He said that his Government had taken oath in the name of farmers of the state and will continue to develop agriculture sector by all means.
Detailing various schemes launched during last three months of his assuming Chief Minister post, Mr Yeddyurappa said that his government was committed for development of agriculture and farmers.
He said that the Government would take up review of developmental activities in each taluka and hoblis every 100 days once. Officials would be held responsible for any lapses in implementation of government schemes, he warned.
