Somnath sends get-well-soon wishes to injured MP
Bhopal, Oct 4 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chhatterjee wished Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Veerendra Kumar a speedy recovery from his ailments, official sources said today.
Madhya Pradesh Assembly principal secretary A K Payasi visited the Mr Kumar with the 'get well soon' wishes of the speaker wrapped with a bouquet in the Hamidia Hospital here today.
Mr Chatterjee talked Dr Payasi through phone and asked him to convey his wishes to the ailing parliamentarian.
Commercial Tax Minister Babulal Gaur also visited Mr Kumar and took the stock of the situation.
Mr Kumar was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Hameedia hospital here yesterday after receiving a serious head injury.
Cases were registered against six RPF Officials including Commandant Sarika Mohan and a GRP Officer in connection with the incident.
He was critically injured in lathi charge by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) during an anti-encroachment drive near Bina railway station in this district yesterday.
