Sakshi bags girls u-16 crown

Chandigarh, Oct 4 (UNI) Sakshi Sharma of Chandigarh won the girls under-16 singles crown in the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial National Table Soccer Championship being organised by Table Soccer Federation of India at the DAV Model School in Sector 15 here today.

The Chandigarh pair of Maninder Singh and Harvinder Singh Johal emerged winners in the boys above 19 doubles. In the final, they defeated Haryana duo of Sarabjit Singh and Kuljinder Singh by 4-1.

Pawandeep Singh and Amitpal Singh of Punjab defeated Reshav and Paras, also of Punjab, by 4-2 in the boys under-19 doubles final.

Haryana Sports Minister Kiran Chaudhary was the chief guest.

Also present on the occasion were Table Soccer Federation of India president Balwinder Singh Johal, vice-chairman HS Lucky and DAV Model School Principal Rakesh Sachdeva.

The under 14-boys title went to Haryana who accounted forRavneet and Kanav of Punjab by 4-2 in the final.

Resutls: Above 19 years: Doubles: 1 Maninder Singh and Harvinder Singh Johal (Chandigarh), 2 Sarabjit Singh and Kuljinder (Haryana), 3 Divesh Singh and Devesh Dabar (Delhi).

Boys Under-19 doubles: 1 Pawandeep Singh and Amitpal Singh (Punjab), 2 Reshav and Paras (Punjab), 3 Harshwardhan and Prince (Rajasthan).

Boys under-16 doubles: 1 Varinderpal Singh and Arshad (Chandigarh), 2 Jaspreet and Bhanu (Punjab), 3 Mayank and Mansoor (Rajashtan).

Boys Under-14 doubles: 1 Anmol and Milan (Haryana), 2 Ravneet and Kanav (Punjab), 3 Gagandeep and Shahzu (Chandigarh).

Girls Under-16 singles: 1 Shakshi Sharma (Chandigarh), 2 Sanvur (Punjab), 3 Palak (Haryana).
