Jammu, Oct 4 (UNI) Olympics bronze medalist Sushil Kumar is set to participate in the wrestling competition tomorrow to be organised as a part of nine-day long Navratra Festival being celebrated at the Katra base camp in Reasi district of the state, sources said here today.
''Sushil Kumar will tomorrow reach Katra town and contest a bout late in the evening while the state administration has also decided to felicitate the grappler for his achievement in the field of wrestling and bringing laurels to the nation in Beijing Olympics,'' an official of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board told UNI.
Wrestler, Sushil Kumar, won the bronze medal by defeating Leonid Spriridonov of Kazakhstan 3-1 in the 66-kg category at the Beijing Olympics.
However, nine wrestlers from Pakistan would also be taking part in the competition under the title 'Indo-Pak Friendship' wrestling competition.
