Bhubaneswar, Oct 4 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today apprised Governor M C Bhandare of the law and order situation in the state, particularly in Kandhamal.
The Governor summoned the Chief Minister after Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil sought a report from the Governor about the situation in Kandhamal.
Mr Patnaik, who closetted with the Governor for more than one and half hours, later told the waiting newspersons at the Raj Bhawan that he had discussed the Kandhamal situation and the flood situation with the Governor.
To a question, the Chief Minister denied that he had any discussion with the Governor on the President's Rule and made it clear that he had not received any letter in this regard from the Union Home Minister.
