Indusrialist Chowgule passes away
Panaji, Oct 4 (UNI) Eminent industrialist and chairman of Chowgule Group of Companies Vishwasrao D Chowgule passed away after a brief illness at his residence at Vasco sa Gama in South Goa today.
He was 93 and is surived by three sons and three daughters, accourding to the family sources.
Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat condoled the death of Mr Chowgule.
In his condolence message, Mr Kamat said ''Vishwasrao was not only one of the doyens of Indian industry, but was also a multifaceted perssonality, who left a deep impression in many areas.'' ''Vishwasrao was a large hearted philanthropist, whose contribution to the development of education, industry, culture and journalism has left a lasting impression on our landscape. His contribution to Goan economy would be remembered for many generations,'' he added.
