Bangalore, Oct 4: The opposition Congress in Karnataka today came down heavily against the ruling BJP government in the state alleging its total failure in providing good governance and maintainng communal harmony at a 'Janajagriti Rally' organised by its state unit here.
Speaking after the rally attended by party workers near Gandhi statue at Cubbon Park, outgoing KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge charged that during the 115-day rule, BJP government had ''failed on all fronts''.
Launching a scathing attack on Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he Sarcastically charged that the hallmark of the 115-day BJP government in the state was killing of farmers by police bullets, denying fertilisers to them and creating communal disturbance.
He alleged that the BJP government had also failed to maintain law and order and enforcement of rule of law, to give protection to minorities and minority institutions.
The BJP government had also failed to rescue those affected by floods and drought. The record of the state government in implementing various Centrally sponsored social programmes was also very poor, he criticised.
